As a Maintenance Engineer within the MRO team, you will work at the forefront of innovations in maintenance technology for industry and defense.

What will you do? 

You'll be supporting our clients with maintenance technology solutions. You will help conceptualise, design, build and test technological solutions that help maintenance organisation reduce dull, dirty and dangerous work using automation, robot technology, advanced sensor technologies, and machine vision. You're hands-on, you collaborate on solutions, and you develop yourself into a maintenance technology expert.

In addition, you have a good view of the possibilities of using technology in maintenance. You think along with us about innovative solutions in the field of maintenance science & technology. Your ideas create value for future customers and you know how to translate your idea into demonstrable products. You work closely with your colleagues from other disciplines within NLR.

Your creativity combined with a sense of structured work comes through. You work with colleagues to solve the customer's demand, and you take pride in what you accomplish together.

What will you bring?

  • Affinity with maintenance technology.

  • Master degree, for example in aerospace, mechatronics, or a related field.

  • Ideally, experience in the aircraft, engine or component maintenance.

  • A proactive, problem solving and hands-on team player mindset, but be able to work independently.

  • Ambition to grow into a maintenance technology expert.

  • Sense of market opportunities, innovation and product development.

  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, both written and spoken, (B2 level).
